Bathtub or shower?

Women prefer bathtubs and men prefer showers. At least, more women like tubs than men. They appreciate showers for a quick wash, but the bathtub is a moment of relaxation, whether occasional or regular, necessary for well-being. The hydromassage shower is nibbling away at the bubble bath market. It seduces both men and women.

So what to choose? Why not both? It is easier to take a shower in a bathtub than a bath in a shower.

 Shower room: 

Generally called a shower room, this room contains at least a shower and a sink. In the old houses, we often still find a bidet. If some have eliminated it, others have diverted its use: to put laundry to soak, sink for infants, or they covered it with a box.

Removing it is interesting, only if it really saves space, as to install a washing machine or a larger shower. It is true that large walk-in showers are in vogue.

Bathroom: 

The bathroom is par excellence the room of rest of Mrs., when it is not the place of toilet of the young children. If the bathtub is necessary to wash the children in a playful way, dip, play with boats, experiment with water and foam through a glove, it is also a place of relaxation. For small bathrooms: 

In a small bathroom, every square inch counts. You have to create storage space in such a way that you forget how small it is. If you need to integrate the washing machine, you’ll need to be a little more ingenious. 

It is very rare that the washing machine can not fit in the bathroom, however, it takes up a lot of space. If it has a window, a shelf is placed just above it, the same size as the worktop, and then we add shelves with a smaller depth.

You can decorate these shelves with doors or add a rod and a fancy curtain. You can store shower products and shampoos in addition to laundry supplies. If the door takes up too much space when opened, simply replace it with a sliding or accordion door.

The storage space above and below the sink is important for storing all the cosmetics and often the medicine cabinet with its emergency kit. The drawers for the shaving kit for the gentleman and the rest for all the care products and make-up for the lady.

For the comfort of everyone, a total restructuring of the bathroom may be necessary. If you want to call an interior designer and do the work yourself, the cost will not be very high, but the advice and measurements will be professional and really useful.

Redoing a bathroom can be very expensive if not done properly, so it is better to study the project carefully. Replacing a bathtub with a shower enlarges the bathroom.
